Tomorrow is Allan's (Josh's dad/my FIL) birthday and yesterday there was a HUGE surprise party for him in St. Pete. About 65 of Allan's closest friends and family were in attendance. The day before the party, Josh's sis, Nikki, asked us to buy a cake. If you know me, then you know that I couldn't possibly just go out a *buy* a cake. I didn't have a chance to go all out, but I did make a little treat.
It's a triple chocolate fudge cake layered and iced with a chocolate buttercream. The decorating icing is an almond buttercream. Unfortunately, I will not be sharing the recipe (it's a secret... and I usually don't measure, so I'm not even sure about the proportions), but here's a pic!
